I don't write that often and I'm unsure whether a similar thread has been open or if this is even the right place to open it but I just wanted to see if anyone else has a player who, no matter what team you move to, must be part of your team?
Well, personally, that special player is Keita Balde Diao from Lazio. This is mainly because of his huge potential in real life and the fact that, as a Lazio fan, I want him to succeed. The affection which I have for him often leads me to preferring him to other players who may be more experienced or in better form. His attributes are not exceptional at the beginning (he is very underrated in the game, despite the fact that he is only 18) but if he is afforded a lot of playing time he can become a star player like he has in my case. I'm often influenced by real life and because he is one of our (Lazio's) best players at the moment I wanted him to reach that same level in the game. After 3 and half years at Lazio I resigned (too frustrating xD) and 6 months later moved to AS Monaco where I spent ?27M to make Keita mine once again. I also bought Berardi for a surprising low ?4.8M but as the season progressed the latter saw the pitch less often due to competition with Falcao, Volland and Keita. As Keita is my special player I found myself often moving Volland to LM to give Keita a first team place regardless of his form. I'll post some screens of his present attributes later, if the thread does okay xD
Basically, what I'm asking you is: Is there any player in the game which you must have in your squad, which you often prefer to other players in better form as a result of you 'putting your money on' him to succeed? If so, give a bried description of this player and what makes him that special player for you and hopefully some screens of his development. I look forward to many replies and hope that the thread doesn't seem stupid or pointless.
While I'm here I might as well ask if anyone can recommend the best facepack for FM 2014?
Name: Keita Balde Diao
DOB: 8 March 1995
Nat: Spanish
Position: Striker
Team: Lazio
Background:
Keita was born in Spain to Senagalese parents and from a very young age was part of Barcelona's 'Cantera'. At 15, due to a prank (ice cube in team-mate's bed) he was 'kicked' out and sent out on loan to Cornella for a year. However, 15 year olds could not be loaned so they 'released' him, and (so they thought) he would then sign another contract with them after the loan. In that season Keita scored 47 goals and when Barcelona approached him Keita rejected them, attracting teams like Real Madrid, United and Lazio. He joined Lazio with team-mate Mamadou Tounkara in 2011 but didn't play for the youth team until 2012 when he finally received his Spanish citizenship. Keita and Tounkara were a driving force in that young Barca team but somehow the Spanish side managed to lose them both. Since their arrival in Lazio, the Lazio primavera (youth) has become one of the most competitive teams at that level in Italy winning the league last season. This season Keita has earned himself some playing time in the first team and has done very well in each appearence, providing numerous assists both in Serie A and Europa League and scoring 2 goals, one against Parma and another amazing one against Napoli where he dribbled passed 5 defenders. Keita is considered one of the most promising youngsters in the world making his superb dribbling, speed, selflessness and shots his key attributes. Unlike many players his age, Keita appears to have his head on his shoulder, displaying great maturity, professionalism and attachment to the jersey which he wears.
