Man City's Ben Thatcher is suspended for eight games by the FA for elbowing Portsmouth's Pedro Mendes.

shudda been more , a punishment outside of football should have been given ie community service or something , if i did that on a night out and had thousands of eye witnesses id be locked up

So I'm guessing this will be added onto the ban that City have given him. So it does seem to be a long ban but the FA have let him off slightly.

i fink its disgraceful..it wa a right tackle lmao..knocked mendes clean out. he should of received a longer ban but we need more tackling in football cos its all about diving now. well done ben thatcher lmao :D

But we all know you'd never do something like that, right ?! :P

Good to see the FA act like this for once (although if it was a Man U player he would be banned for about 4 seasons),even if it was delayed
