I have decided to start this story to run alongside my other story " One life changing decision to another " I wanted a change from my journey man save where I had little money to spend and had very limited amount of players who willing to join my team etc Anyway in this story money isn't a problem in terms of buying players but more of that will be explained in the story. I will pay for players in the 1st season over 48 months but after that it will be payments upfront. I didn't make this database and sorry but I can't remember who did but if they see this and would like to let me know who made it then I would be more than willing to put their name here.
The story is going to be written from a reporters point of view, the reporter works for a magazine that is covering the LA Galaxys progress. There will also be at the end of each month the thoughts of the manager. If this seems a little odd at the moment then everything should become much clearer as the story progresses.

Overview
Portsmouth have gone out of business due to financial problems and the FA have replaced them with the LA Galaxy. They have chosen the Galaxy as after thinking about playing matches abroad and holding other competitions away from the Uk didn't seem finacialy the best thing for the premier league and have decided to bring a foreign clun into the premier league as this will attract interest from other parts of the world and expand the premier league in the future. The Galaxy will be playing their home games at Twickenham, being based in London it was felt would be the ideal way to attract Americans living in Britain as well as building a new fan base. A whole new squad is needed if the Galaxy are to compete in the premier league, they also need a manager and backroom staff. This really is a start from scratch job and only time will tell if it will be a success story. Who ever the new manager is they have been promised over £50,000,000 to build the new squad althought it is thought that they will need to spend alot more that that if they have any dreams of A) staying in the premier league and B) pushing for europe and achieving exactly what the FA want to attract the American nations interest in the premier league. The FA are not concearned by the money that is needed as the Galaxy has a new owner who has already passed all fit and proper persons tests and has provided proof of funds.

Everything is there for this to be a real success and I hope that they get it right and make it work. The owner shouldn't sack the manager as soon as things go wrong because it will take time for the players to gell and settle into their new stadium and environment. Bring on the American Dream !

Like the idea of this story and ill follow.
btw is the team registered as an american one?story would be good if your regens are american rather than english!

No the team is an English one, I think what the guy who did it for me has done is swap Portsmouth with the LA Galaxy. I have bought a whole squad full of players from all over the world. It is a strong squad that I will reveal in an update tommorow.

where can I get this database, it would be interesting to try it. plz put a link;)

how do I do that? I only downloaded it from the guy who made it for me.

all i will say is I have bought 25+ players, it includes young players and some world class players. I have tried to prepare the squad for season 2 when the 25 player squad limit comes in. :)

Pre Season Update

Bryan Swanson; The new owner of the LA Galaxy is just full of surprises, not only has he got the Galaxy playing their home games at Twickenham the home on english rugby but now he's hired a rookie manager. This decision is just crazy, why he has done this I do not know, he should have hired a proven manager who has the respect of the players and the fans. LA Galaxy moving tothe UK could have gone so well but now it looks like it will go so wrong. The rookie manager I am talking about is Tim Wilson. With no playing experience at all this will be a challenge for him and I wish him all the best, he'll need it.

Bryan Swanson; New manager Tim Wilson has wasted no time in tapping into the Galaxys huge spending power, the total cost of his new squad is in excess of £200 million. All the fees we are led to believe were to be paid over a 48 month period, this could cripple the Galaxy's future should the owner walk away or run out of money.

Pre Season Fixtures
Kilmarnock ( A ) 1 - 0
Swindon ( A ) 2 - 1
Plymouth ( A ) 1 - 1
Hollywood United ( A ) 3 - 0
Dundee Utd ( A ) 2 - 1
Huddersfield ( A ) 3 - 3

Summay of Pre Season
A good pre season, we scored plenty of goals and put some quality performances in. I am not bothered by the draws or conceading quite a few goals as this is a new set of players and they need time to gell. All I wanted from pre season was to have a look at tactics, match fitness for the players and for no serious injurys. I got all of them, therefore I am a happy bunny.

Bryan Swanson; No surprises in pre season as the players achieved exactly what was expeced of them, scoring loads of goals and not losing a game. Lets hope the team can continue this into the season or it will be bye bye Wilson.

August Update

Bryan Swanson; The new Premier League season is finally here and so is our first look at the LA Galaxy. Pre Season counts for nothing now, you can't predict how a team will get on over 38 league matches from thie pre season, we will be able to have a guess after the first couple of matches and I'm sure it will be interesting so see what surprises the opening day matches throw up. If LA Galaxy are to have strong season then I think that players such as Angel Di Maria, Gignac, Rakitic and Cahill will have to bring their A-Games to the table. Alot is riding on these first few matches, the chairman and fans may be unhappy and want a change in manager should they loe. At the moment the future of the LA Galaxy is in their own hands.

Summary of Month
Overall I am pleased with out start to the season, Man Utd were just amazing in the first half but we held our own in the second half. We destroyed Bradford like were expected too and were okay against Wigan. Good month and I want more of the same.

Player of the Month
Angel Di Maria, scored 3 goals, created 1 goal and got man of the match, not a bad month for him at all, however he needs to keep up this kind of form if we are to finish in the top half.

Bryan Swanson; Solid start for the LA Galaxy taking 3 points and going through to the next round of the League Cup. However when the Galaxy came up against Man Utd they were totally out classed, it was obvious that the players were all new to each other. I don't think alarm bells need ringing yet as they will not have to face a team like Man Utd every week. If I were the fans I would keep cheering the team on and they will click and when they do Premier League watch out.

September Update

Bryan Swanson; After a decent start for the Galaxyin August it will be interesting to see if the team can keep up their form in September. Although they lost against Man Utd, you have to admit that Man Utd were simply amazing, but to the Galaxys credit they fought back in the second half and held the red devils. I think that Tim Wilson needs to make some slight adjustments to the tactics and if he can get the players to work hard in training then they should have a solid month in September. The Galaxy should be looking to take as least 7 points from 9 this month and progress in the league cup. I really think they should be challenging for one of the cups this season and I belive the league cup is the one they should really go for. They need to get into europe as fast as possible as the monthly payments on the transfer fees of the players will start to hurt the club financially. This club needs on field success if it is to survive or else it could be a short ride for the Galaxy.

Summary of Month
A mixed month for us as we played some fantastic and some awful football. Beating Burnley was without doubt the best performance along with the goaless draw with Villa. So far I am happy with how things are going and looking forward to October where we face all of the big 4 in different competitions. The two games against Everton and West Ham are the ones where we really are going to have to get something out off, as it could be another Man Utd thrashing that we get in the other games.

Player of the Month
Chis Kirkland, he has been on fire this month and we look defensively a strong unit with him between the sticks. The £10M price tag seems justified at the moment, I just hope he can keep up this form up and help us challenge for europe.

Bryan Swanson; A poor month for the Galaxy I feel as they missed oportunitys to take points of their rivals for a top half finish and a european spot. Some sloppy defending and shocking attacking moves saw them drops points against Fulham and Wolves, two teams that they should have been looking to beat and beat comfortably. I'd give them a B grade this month, need to do better in October or else it will be an up hill battle for the rest of the season.

Screen shots tommorow as I just typed this all up and realised that I am playing the game on my computer not my laptop ! so all the screenshots are on there, sorry guys
