im just starting a career beggining with "AFC Wimbledon"i am aiming to get to the premiership within 10 years.. some might think its easy but im not a football manager expert so for me this is going to be really tough!ill keep you up to date with how things are goin!just begun and told the board ill get a "top-half finish" not confident enough to say "winner", so due to this i got a massive 22k for transfers and 12k p/w on wages..WISH ME LUCK GUYS, IM SERIOUSLY GOIN TO NEED IT..

Well, good luck...
Just sign free players from other leagues, i think you shouldn't spend this 22k transfer budget. :P

Switch your Wage/Transfer budget because wage is the largest issue with lower league management. You can survive a season or 2 doing well with Free Transfers.

Good luck mate. If you want any tips, feel free to pm me or to take a look at my Vauxhall Motors thread.

That is defo the best approach, get your cash flow steady and build up a squad with your transfer funds.

Don't worry about your transfer budget , just keep an eye on that wage budget , just slook for a few freebies that will do you fine until you get a nice cash flow from winning compititions and the like.

Rite, pre-season is now over and the 1st game of the season is fast approaching, after these friendlies i feel i know who my best players are and my 1st 11....
im using the 4-1-4-1(PERFECT TREBLE) formation but edited the tactics to suit my team of superstars!!

pre-season went pretty good, with only 2 losses and the rest i was victorious...

RESULTS:

Kingstonian 0 - 4 AFC Wimbledon

Sutton Utd 2 - 8 AFC Wimbledon (6 goals in second half) (H)

North Ferriby 0 - 5 AFC Wimbledon

AFC Wimbledon 0 - 4 West Ham Reserves

AFC Wimbledon 0 - 1 Crystal Palace (my team played absolutly terrible lol)

AFC Wimbledon 2 - 1 Grimsby (totally outplayed them the must be feeling GRIM)

ill play a few games into the season and update you all on how its goin!!

Moses Ashikodi as a striker in the BSS/BSN will do you a fantastic job. I had him at Telford for 3 seasons and he shattered the goalscoring record for the club and he's available on a free too. I don't know if AFC Wimbledon have a parent club but if they don't you should definitely look to get one. You get paid to have a player brought to you, it's brilliant.

Good luck.

I will say this, taking on a project like that is a big ask of someone who isn't an FM fanatic. I would perhaps set yourself a smaller goal of getting into the Coca Cola League 2 within 3 seasons perhaps? Then you can advance from there.

Either way, like I said bud, good luck. I love a bit of LLM myself, so I appreciate what you plan to do. : ]
