After months of searching, Swansea FC have found a new manager.His name being Jamie Thomas...never heard of him? I hadnt either...infact Jamie Thomas has never managed a professional football club.Born and Bred in swansea, Jamie Thomas said "This is a dream job, i hope to take Swansea to the top".He then went on to talk about the changes he wants to make in the squad before the season starts "Being a season ticket holder at the Liberty,i have watched many of Swanseas games, and one thing that i have noticed is the lack of quality strikers who are consistent in scoring goals and creating chances, expect to see some major changes to the current team.

One of the Sky Sports reporters asked the newly appointed manager "What do you expect to achieve at this club?"
Jamie replied with "As many other managers, i would love to win every trophy possible, but unfortunatley i have to be more realistic, we arnt the best team in the league...we are underdogs.But thats why im here, im here to make a difference and take Swansea to a different level."

It should be interesting to see how the seemingly unheard of manager will cope in his new role of swans manager.

Swansea FC have been plagued with injury,With 2 of their biggest and most important stars ruled out for several weeks.Australian born striker Mark Viduka has been ruled out for 4-5 weeks after pulling his hamstring during a match for the Swans.The most crucial injury for the Swans is the injury to the captain Sol campbell.This freak accident occurred during a game for the swans, while he was running normally.The player has been ruled out for 5 weeks, and this will be a huge blow for the swans.

10 Games into the season, Swansea find themselves sitting 8th in the league, not a great start but not bad never the less.Jason smith talked to the Swans manager Jamie Thomas.

Smith-"Jamie, is this the start you wanted, are you happy with this?"

Jamie-"Well, i would love to be doing better...but after Campbell and Viduka got injured, i knew that i wouldnt be where i would of wanted to be at the start of the season"

Smith-"do you feel that if the injuries had not occured, then you would be doing better?"

Jamie-"ofcourse, viduka and campbell are key players for us, and it was a big blow for us when they got injured, now that they are back to full fitness....all i can hope for is that we keep on climbing"

Smith-"The media prediction at the start of the season was that you would finish in 9th place, do you think that you will be able to surpass their prediction?"

Jamie"Yes, i think its possible...One of my dreams was to manager Swansea city, another is to take them to the top.My goal is to get into the playoffs, and eventually get promoted."

Smith-"It seems that you are lacking a consistent goalscorer, do you think you will need to buy somebody better than Viduka and Camara?"

Jamie-"of course not, Viduka and Camara are capable of scoring goals, and im sure they will....i they dont.. i have other strikers, Van der gun for example.. a quality player who is capable of changing games in minutes2

Smith-"Many of your players have said that they think the Swans are underacheiving, what do you have to say about that"

Jamie-"I dont see how we are underacheiving, its so early in the season that alot can change in the next 36 games, all i can do is hope for the best.

Smith"Thank you"
