Premier League to commence Saturday August 15th:

Speaking at the Carling Cup final with his new squad, Kieron Ryan watched from the crowd as an impressive Didier Drogba ran rampant in a 4-1 win for Chelsea FC over Manchester United. Ryan was in a positive mood for the half time interview, exclusively with RTE, the Irish news & sport channel.

"I have no need for any more signings for the club" said Ryan, confirming there will be no new arrivals at the SkyTV stadium.

"I feel that with this current squad, and the excellent FM-Base FC staff working with me, we will surprise quite alot" - Stated Ryan on how he felt about the entire scenario he found himself in

When asked about the opening day of the season which pitted his men against the newly promoted Birmingham, Ryan had this to say- "Birmingham have it all to play for, the opening game infront of their fans will really make this one special, I am an admirer of Alex McLeish , he is a top top manager"

The Forum nick 3 points in a hard fought battle at St. Andrews....

Kieron Ryan counted himself fortunate in a hard fought battle at St. Andrews, Ryan went through a total of 4 strikers as injuries hampered the first half, Giorgos Samaras was the first injury, on just 6 minutes pulling up with little more than 3 touches having being taken. Adriano came off the bench, and almost put the forum ahead in 30 minutes, with a long range effort thumping off the bar. Things took a turn for the worse as Adriano picked up a knock, Ryan choosing to take caution and brought on Guiza...

Brimingham pushed from then on, testing in inform Artur Boruc with numerous efforts. Hearts were in mouths in 76 minutes when Cameron Jerome smacked his spot kick into the post, then onto the safe hands of Boruc, De Laet was booked for the penalty offense.

However just in an exuberant punt up the field by Mahamadou Diarra landed onto the path of David Trezeguet, the french striker slipped the ball through for Guiza who pummeled the ball into the bottom of the net, his impact sent manager Kieron Ryan to this knees in joy

Forum hold strong as the City of Manchester Stadium fails to break them down, One hard fought point!

Manchester City dominated todays affair, Pushing FM-Base FC to the very limit, The domination showed early with a Stephen Ireland free kick thundering into the corner from 25 yards, the midfielder was jubilant after his excellent striker

Things then heated up, with Tevez, Adebayour and Aguero all coming close to scoring before the half time break. In the 70th minute, the stadium stood still with silence as Riquelme showed magnificent flair to score a long range free kick, which was given as an own goal due to a wicked deflection off the post and the back of the head by Shay Given....

City did press hard, and midfielder Yoann Gourcouff had a close range effort hit the bar.. but the Forum maintained strong for a deserved point.

Given was deeply distraught by the own goal, even reverting to the crying tactic

OK guys, hopefully you will follow and enjoy, I wont be updating again until Thursday due to my final Leaving Cert State Exam on Wednesday, hope to see you all reading soon. I shall try make it interesting, and will attempt some humour along the way... Good Luck lads.

Looks like a good story, Otamendi doesn't work well for me seeing as his jumping and heading attributes never really increase past 13 for me, maybe posting the final score after you're description of the match would help. Will follow.

good luck but Otamendi should be trained as a right-back he cant play centre-back
