Hey guys, I started a wolves thread but I had some problems with my game, in terms of speed mainly, with it freezing. This doesn't happen on Classic, so it seems I have got to be playing Classic. However, it seems to only affect things that I usually leave to staff anyway.

During this time trying to sort out my issues, I went off the idea of managing Wolves. Instead I am going for a different idea. I will be maintaining the philosophy of using only english players and staff where I can possibly help it. I will also look to use young players where possible.

To me this left only one club to choose: Southampton.

Southampton have a great youth system, a huge history which I aim to add to, and have been well known for their English Talents over the years.

....AND who better to take control of Southampton F.C. than Le God himself:

That's right! Matt Le Tissier is back on the scenes at Southampton.
I also plan to make Southampton the richest club in the world, I don't know how well this will go yet especially with English players being so overpriced but we will see.

First things first, looks like i'm going to be selling all non-english players and replacing them with English alternatives. Note: English players only, not British players only. I will update soon on how well this task goes.

great idea, just so you know though, on FMC youth intakes for english teams aren't until the end of the season. Well they were on a friends save :)

ok first update:

I currently have every non english player sold or on the reserves and transfer listed. As a result my reserve team is doing amazing haha.

I'm very happy with the players that i've bought in, they have been quite costly though.

This leaves my team very short, I have a first team and a 5 man bench. For now this is all I can do but I hope January provides some other options depending on cup positions and league positions.

Pre-Season has been completed:

I am very happy with these results, I was expecting a lot of problems with so many players going and coming.

Season's about to start, a nice opening game is useful but let's hope we can be in a good position come the end of the season.

Well August results are in, things are going better than expected so far:

These are the tactics i'm using: The credit for it goes to ace6688, look for his 442 tactic.

Obviously Jack Cork is in place of Ward-Prowse when he comes back from his injury.

Theres a big gap before the next game so everyone will be fit but this season will be hard with fitness and injuries. I only have 2 injuries atm and my squad is suffering. Might have to buy in some free agents just to fill some gaps. I just got a big wager off on loan in Wanyama so that will help.

Really liking the feel of this team, just need a squad with more depth and I can see this going really well.

September has been another good month. I signed Titus Bramble on a free transfer to bolster my squad a little. Injuries are coming in and out but luckily they don't seem to be affecting me too much atm. A week or two out with a backup to fill the spot, but i'm really pushing my luck here.

What a great set of results for me, I was expecting a loss at Arsenal but scored 85th minute, got a man sent off 87th minute. Jack Cork no less, on his first game back after injury :S ah well a point was good.

This has an early feeling of a good season. I'm in the top 3 currently, but I think a Europa League spot is more likely, especially if injuries start happening or I go on a bad run. Definitely better than I expected at season start though.

October Update:

Things are going really well, I went on a bit of a bad streak but they were against big teams :S a bit lucky with a few games too but still I'm impressed that we're unbeaten. It won't last though, we just don't have the quality playing at home to some of these teams, we've been lucky so far.

Injuries are also starting to become a problem:

Now I know it's only 2 for a short time, but remember I have no depth. No bench players for those positions now. Also these 3 were first team players. I'll survive but any more before they come back and I don't know what i'll do.

Can't wait for the transfer market, I don't want to mess up my clubs finances though, we're already making a loss every month. Probably because I have a lot of transfers over 48 months. Ah well it's an injection at the beginning for a long term goal. Eventually we'll just be buying through youth and obtaining our own and just working with that.

This game is very enjoyable, the only reason i'm not further is because of family stuff during the holidays, and I see my gf for the first time in a couple of weeks tomorrow so it might still be running a bit slower. Hopefully i'll get the first season done by early next week at the latest though, but I really really want to get it done sooner.

So here's the table: (from 1 game into november cause I forgot :S)

It's an interesting table and very good for us. Safe to say we won't be winning it, United look amazing atm. Also, we're very much overachieving, i'm sure we'll slip a bit before the end. Still hoping for a european place though, the media predicted me 10th so it's not a crazy thought. Man City were dead bottom the game before I played them, they won that game 3-1, gave me a **** of a game which ended as a draw, and just beat West Ham 4-0. before the 3-1 win they hadn't won a game, lost to crystal palace and sunderland, not really big teams. Very interesting.

Also guys just click on the images :S I don't know how to post them big, i'm sure I did in the first post though.
