9th July 2013
I sit Down calmly in the Hotseat Paul scally sitting opposite me "hello mr.Dobson" he spoke calmly
" hello mr. Scally I am glad that you are considering me for the job"
"yes well you did play at Gillingham for 22 years and for 21 seasons" Paul is a very calm character "what is your vision for this club" scaly inquired
"well I want to play attacking football mix up the passes try to get under the opponents skin" I said incredibly calmly
" that didn't exactly answer my question mr. Dobson"
" oh ok sorry, well there is no chance of promotion realistically in the first season so it's about giving a good account of ourselves, not getting relegated and trying to push up in later seasons" I spoke with real fluidity
" you seem to be a very calm person mr. Dobson" said Paul Scally
" I try to be sir" I said
Paul scally considered all things before saying "thank you mr. Dobson we will tell you our choice shortly"
"ok bye Mr.Scally"
"goodbye"
I left and strolled around the town of Gillingham and went to the pub to meet my mates I walked to the railway tavern and looked into the window it was nearly empty
" Mark"
"Dobbi Dobson! How are things?"
"good"
"where's Dan?"
"Lavs"
"oh ok" asked Mark
"no thanks"
" right let's move"

GILLINGHAM APPOINT DOBSON

Gillingham football club have appointed former Gillingham player James Dobson as manager
James Dobson had a career spanning 27 years playing for Gillingham,Leicester and non-league Dartford he is Martin Allen's successor after Allen left the Kent side after 1 season in charge of the gills. Dobson retired from professional football at the end of last season after 4 years at fellow kent side Dartford Dobson scored 94 goals in 1,042 games he was one of if not the longest serving footballer of all time from ages 14-42.
the 42 year old is taking his first steps into management after the news of his appointment Dobson answered our questions
R: hello mr. Dobson and congratulations on the job, what will your philosophy be?
JD: Hello, thanks and welcome to the Priestfield stadium it is not 100% certain what my philosophy will be yet as I have been in charge for 2 hours but I will attack
R: well, you seem to know the club well enough with 1,042 games in your career with 900 exactly being for the gills so how you work with the beast... Bayo Akinfenwa?
JD: Bayo is a fantastic player he is in his 2nd spell at the gills he knows a couple of the boys. He must be raring to go
R: ok how about Cody McDonald
JD: Cody is a fabulous player 3rd spell at gills 1st permanent move, he is a talented striker like Bayo he played for Coventry and Norwich and I work with him at the Darts, he is a local lad
R: So, Kedwell, no chance right?
JD: no Danny has been a gills fan all his life I signed his shirt at the rainham end when he was a boy, I may be his idol but probably not.

wow a New Years party till 2AM up at 5AM and now I am going from my house to the ground to meet the lads I think "I really do need to stop luckily driving to Northampton for the Coventry game (I know Coventry fans it is a disgrace) the radio is playing my favourite song but I don't notice I want to sleep...
There is a sharp pain in the back of my legs I can smell blood and feel something trickling out of my eye and down my face, smoke is swirling around my Vauxhall Astra I remember going into the Medway tunnel but can't remember till now I feel sick and want to go to sleep however I think if I do go to sleep it will be more then just sleep it will be the end.
I hear the screaming of the approaching ambulance however I feel crushed under the roof of the car and there is no doubt what has happened, there was another noise and I worked out it was the fire crew i feel trapped and isolated I look out the slit that is what is left of my windscreen and I see the Medway tunnel I am inside and I see a car with a ruined rear end, although I can't see them but I can sense the emergency services racing around my vehicle then a horrible noise and... I see the light.

John schofield will be in charge for the gills against Coventry at the sixfields today striker Cody McDonald commented saying "he is shocked by this news"

SCHOFIELD GETS A GAME
John Schofield took charge of his first Gillingham game in Northampton which was a 2-2 draw between Coventry city and Gillingham John fleck scored a simple tap in for the sky blues in the 18th minute Leon Clarke doubled the advantage on the 36th minute with a fabulous chipped shot from 19 yards out and that's how it stayed for the 1st half
HT CCFC 2-0 GFC

73' Goal GFC C.WHELPDALE 2-1
Chris Whelpdale scored a screamer in the 73rd minute a shot from the half way line soared over the defenders and the keeper but just under the bar
78' Goal GFC A.CAMPBELL 2-2
A simple tap into an empty net for the loan striker

rumour is rife saying that Paul Scally could sack James Dobson and replace him with John schofield
