As a Bradford fan, I thought I would take on the reigns at valley parade. On previous games I have won the premier league (Chelsea, Liverpool), Seria A (Roma), La liga (Real Madrid) and various domestic and national cups, not to mention guiding Coventry City and Leeds United to the euro cup.

I needed a challenge and where else better to start with the bantams...

I will keep you involved on my journey with the barmy army :)

Ive editied all of Bradford's new players into the team (e.g. hanson, rehman, ramsden etc) and have got rid of the players who have left the club in real life (e.g Mclaren, lee, arnison etc).

Here are my signings so far;

Alan Navvaro- MK Dons- £75k- CM. Will be a good squad addition, put pressure on bullock and nokivok (spelling?).

Andy Marshall- Free agent- £0- GK. Good compition for young goalkeeper John Mclaughlin.

Richard Eckersly- Man Utd- Loan- LB/RB. Back up if O'Brien and Ramsden get injured/suspended.

So far in pre season we have beaten Alloa 1-0 (Own goal) and Ayr 4-1 (Evans, Williams, Hanson, Thorne). Very impressive in pre season so far, plenty of good passing and movement of the ball. I will post the rest of my pre season tomorow, where we will face Celtic reserves, Crawley, Fulham, Tamworth and Falkirk :)

My pre season results: city 2-3 celtic reserves (novikov, hanson), crawley 0-5 city (boulding x2, bullock, hanson, daley), city 1-0 fulham (thorne), city 1-1 falkirk (daley), tamworth 0-2 city (thorne x2).

So in my opinion a very successful pre-season. The only change I made before my first game of the season was to release trialist Jegevi Novikov, he didn't cut the mustard. So my first game of the season vs Hereford I went for a 4-4-2 formation attacking...

1st game of the season: BRADFORD CITY 2-0 HEREFORD

Very comfortable 1st game, had 25 shots with there keeper in superb form. Took the lead on 35 mins, Michael Boulding getting om the end of a Simon Ramsden cross and directing his header into the bottom corner from 6 yards out. James Hanson sealed the win on 89 mins, tapping in a Boulding cross (he couldn't miss) after a swift counter attack.

Next up for the bantams a home tie against the rivals huudersfield in the carling cup round 1 :)

Carling cup round 1: BRADFORD CITY 2-0 HUDDERSFIELD TOWN

What a result! Really proves that we can hack it with the big boys in the league above. Cool one-on-one finishes by mickey boulding and peter thorne either side of half time won it for me. Defence held firm as Hudderfield dominated the second half but couldn't find a way past John Mclaughlin in goal. Next round is a trip to Newcastle :)

League 2: CHESTERFIELD 0-1 BRADFORD

A real smash and grab performance here by the bantams. No real chances for either side throughout the game untill 6'6 striker James hanson hit a rocket from the edge of the area on 77 mins to win it for the lads.

League 2: BRADFORD CITY 0-2 ALDERSHOT TOWN

What a shocker! No spark, no slick passing seen in previous weeks, and arguably the worst goalkeeping performance ive ever seen on FM. 1st goal a simple pass back to Mclaughlin, he takes a touch which rolls 5 yards in front of him, and junior mendes taps into a empty net. After that there was only one winner with Aldershot dominating up until the 80th minute when it payed off. A simple cross was lifted into the area, Mclaughlin comes out and fumbles it right into the path of mendes again, who scores the most simple brace probably in his career. RUBBISH!!

Carling cup round 2: NEWCASTLE UNITED 6-2 BRADFORD CITY

The scoreline doesn't prove justcie to the performance. We didn't play too bad but newcastle's experience and class proved too much for the bantams. Ameobi x2 and guthrie put newcastle 3-0 after 30 mins. But when Peter Thorne and Michael boulding scored either side of half time I though a great comeback could be on the cards. But further goals by ameobi, guthrie and colocini put the nail in the coffin and set the boys crashing out of the league cup, bummer!

League 2: CREWE ALEXANDRA 0-4 BRADFORD CITY

Wow, didn't see this coming! 4 real chances, 4 goals. Braces by Boulding and Thorne put the gloss on a arguably boring game. Fantastic!
