As he stepped off the plane in Sydney airport he thought he was just coming to study and do his coaching badges in Australia but he didn't know he was fulfilling a job interview the whole time.
He was in the middle of getting his level 3 coacing badge before he was contacted by Con Constantine the chairman of the Nuwcastle United Jets. He asked Eoin O'Callaghan to become manager and lead the team that many predicted coming last in the Australian league to a highly competitive outfit in Australian league football.
O'Callaghan took up the challenge knowing it would be a small step that would lead to greater things on the stage of football globally. THis is where the story begins.
