The Little Reds - AFC Liverpool
With Liverpool winning the league, I think its time some thought is given to their smaller neighbours. No, not Everton, but AFC Liverpool, a club founded in 2008 by fans priced out of Premier League football. I've downloaded a database, strapped on my managing socks and decided to give this lot the chance at glory, short lived and expensive though it may be.
They play in Crosby, which my housemate reliably informs me is somewhere near Liverpool and have an absolutely gorgeous badge,. This badge deserves Premier League football, whether the fans like it or not. Now then, this lot have never actually won anything, which means they won't be disappointed when I lead the to mid table obscurity
They, rather predictably, have pretty poor facilities. With poor youth and training facilities alongside limited youth recruitment. Thankfully they have basic corporate facilities, meaning the fat cats are drinking bovril with the rest of us spivs, right on comrades! What I don't like is that we're paying £16,000 a year to the US Army to rent the stadium, that seems to go against the Socialist beliefs somewhat
The squad is a bunch of lads who were found outside the stadium, don't know if they're any good. How we've ended up with three attacking midfielders is beyond me and strikes me as poor central planning
As we're non-league, transfer windows don't really exist down here. Which is a good thing, because we only have £36. Fortunately everyone's a bit rubbish, so they're happy taking a payment of £0 per week, just to play for the love of the sport, that's the spirit! Without further ado, here's our additions
