The longest game you have ever played?

site is a little slow recently...

what is the longest time it has taken you to complete a game? not Fm11 or online games etc, single player story games and while answering this, what is the best story/plot for a game you have played?

Longest: Dragon Age: Origins:
Total playing time: 72 hours

Best Story: Mass Effect 1
 
Longest: Elder Scrolls: Oblivion
143 Hours so far (still havent completed it)

Best Story: Max Payne
 
Longest gears of war 2 time to complete 8 months

Best story black ops zombies story line pure class
 
Probably first Baldurs Gate back when it got out. Don't know exact hours. Good second probably Dragon Age: Origins.
 
Longest: Goldeneye (I was only young), took me weeks! XD

Best Story: Gears of War 1 through to 2 (can't wait for 3!!), did them both on co-op, spent some nights just getting drunk, playing it, had a cracking time!
 
Longest game: Dragon Age Origins (Xbox version). Got it last xmas and still haven't finished it lol. But it took me 3 months to finish Star Wars KoTOR The Sith Lords. Had a few, rage quits shall we say lol. And the ending was a huge let down too.

Best Story: Elder Scrolls Oblivion
 
Longest: Geez... Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind and Fallout 3 (especially once the online community extras get added into them), or Wizards & Warriors
Best Story: Probably can't narrow it down. The above 2 are in there, as too some of the Wing Commander series, Myst...
 
Metal Gear Solid 4: also took quite some time to complete and had a fantastic story for fans of the first 3 games like me :)
 
defo longest and best story was goldeneye took months while was still at school getting up at stupid times like 5am to play before school then waiting for parents to go to bed abd playing again:D love that game still play multiplayer sometimes
 
Oblivion is quite big! Almost neverending if you want to have 100% but I guess some Final Fantasy games!

great games, i have even started playing it again on the hardest difficulty :)
 
Knights of thr old repuplic took me a while, around 20 somthing hours which is alot for my attention span! Morrowind kept me going for ages too!
 
Sith Lords was my favourite :) fantastic games the KotOR!

Mass Effect 1 & 2 are still the two best games I have ever played though! one night I smoked a little j-bird and came back to my pc to play ME1 when I met Legion (big alien mothership/thing) "we are legion" was insane!! and it was by far the best 4 hours of gaming I have ever had in my life! I still look back at that and think "that is what gaming is all about"

That's the feeling I got in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl and Pripyat
 
Stalker was pretty awesome too, finished Pripyat about 4 months ago :) great games! the 2nd one was a waste of time though, super buggy, never played it! Clear Sky I think it was called.. Heard they have a Stalker 2 coming out though :)

oh and one cannot forget Neverwinter Nights II :) and even Diablo II with playing it over and over on different levels :)

The ME series cannot be beaten can't wait for part 3, in fact all Bioware games have brilliant story lines. Longest playing time is probably Gears for me as well as I play that through all difficulties where as I feel Mass Effect is a one off thing and as every decision you make has repercussions later I try to just stick to one playthrough.
 
Longest time: Afrikan Korps VS desert rats
Best story: Kohan 2 kings of war
 
Longest time: mass effect 2, i brought it brand new, didnt even start playing untill feburary just gone

Best story: dragon age: origins, completed on both ps3 and xbox, on every difficulty... just a truely amazing game
 
Longest (but definately not best) Game: Gran Torismo 5, Spent 6 hours trying to win 1 92 lap race (failed 1st time).


Best Game: GTA vice city. Remember completing it aged 8 and thinking I was the absolute dogs. Best mission 'All Hands on Deck'.
