In this story I will take on both AC Milan as well as Inter Milan.

In Italy there is a
domination of Juventus going on, with AS Roma and Napoli as main contenders.

Where are the Milan greats? How deep have they fallen? And can they return?

My mission is to get both AC Milan and Inter Milan back to glory.

I will try to update as much as possible, I promise that I will have an update each week!

I Rossoneri legend becomes there manager

AC Milan appoint Paolo Maldini as new manager!!!

View attachment 325835

Paolo Maldini is the new manager of AC Milan, After Filipo Inzaghi resigned Mr. Milan showed his heart for AC once again as he personally wants to guide his love back to where it belongs.

AC Milan has been a swamp for trainers, not winning any silverware since 2011!
Last season Massimo Allegri was the manager, in the winter Clerence Seedorf replaced him. Seedorf didn't stayed for more then half a season as Filipo Inzaghi took over and the former striker did not stayed long at San Siro.

Paolo Maldini who played 647 matches for AC Milan in which he scored 29 goals, he led AC Milan to greatness as a player can he also do that as manager?

AC MILAN Selection:

Goalkeepers:
Christian Abbiati
Michael Agazzi
Diego Lopez

Defenders:
Ignazio Abate
Mattia de Sciglio
Pablo Armero (loaned)
Salva Ruiz
Adil Rami

Midfielders:

Riccardo Montolivo

Keisuke Honda
Hachim Mastour

Attackers:

Stephan El Shaarawy
Mbaye Niang
Fernando Torres (loaned)
Giampaolo Pazzini
Marcello Jones

Paolo Maldini said this about his squad:
"With this squad we need to qualify for Europe and make movements towards the top of the table".

the tactic that Maldini will be using would be something like this:

FC INTERNAZIONALE MILAN APPOINTS MARCO MATERAZZI
View attachment 325828

With the last piece of silverware being won in 2011! It is time for Inter to climb back to the national and international top. After the successes of José Mourinho Inter was a graveyard for managers with Walter Mazzarri being the last one buried at that graveyard.

For the reckless former center back its make it or brake it can he bring back the Inter spark?
Materazzi played for Inter between 2001 and 2011 making 209 appearances in which he scored 33 goals.

He himself said this about his squad:
"We have enough quality to play european football next season and who knows where we will end, at least I hope we can set the first steps back to where Inter belongs"

Inter 2014/2015 Squad:

Goalkeepers:
Juan Pablo Carrizo
Samir Handanovic
Michele di Gregorio

Defenders:
Jonathan
Yuto Nagatomo
Ibrahima Mbaye
Dodo (loaned)
Nemanja Vidic
Hugo Campagnaro
Marco Andreolli
Andrea Ranoccchia
Juan Jesus
Gary Medel

Midfielders:
Joel Obi
Hernanes
Yann M'Vila (loaned)
Mateo Kovacic
Tomás Martínez
Rene Khrin
Fredy Guarín

Attackers:
Pablo Osvaldo (loaned)
Harry Kane (loaned)
Rodrigo Palacio
Mauro Icardi
Corentin Jean

These are the tactics Inter will use this season:

Normally I would add the league table but we only have one game played in the Serie A so it was pointless to add it now. But I do like to review the month we had and make a personal top 3 of the players who I think deserve a honorable mention.

Number 3:
Marcello Jones
Milan had an awful start to the Serie A with the 4-2 loss, but with 6 injuries and 1 red card other players got their chance. One of these players was Marcello Jones. He debuted in the Serie A as a 16 year old, not only did he do that he also managed to score a goal. For that accomplishment he deserves my number 3 spot.

View attachment 325759

Number 2:
Hernanes
This technical midfielder showed in these early fixtures that he still can play good football with some great passes and goal scoring ability he is an asset to Inter and deserves the number 2 spot this month.

View attachment 325756

Number 1:
Mateo Kovacic
This youngster has shown this month that he is ready to trade the label of wonderkid for stable top performer. He was the best player in both European matches and also scored in the Serie A game. All things concluded this is a good start of the new season for Mateo Kovacic

It does work but I do think that there are much better tactic masterminds who could get more out of Inter. With this tactic I don't give away a lot of goals, but scoring seems to be the problem.

Inter - AS Roma

When you have this game going everyone expect something special. But this game was an anti climax, Roma had slightly more possession Inter had more shots but both team failed to score. They did not fail to score this though:

Both sides don't gain much from just this one point but that is football you win some you lose some and you draw some.

MartijnFR89 Player of te Month September and Serie A Leaue Table

Here are my top 3 players of the month September!

Number 3:

Nemanja Vidic

Vidic, is a solid defender who showed impressive peformances in a month that was alright for Inter.
View attachment 323839

Number 2:
Fernando Torres

Once named as world class striker Torres career was in the dumpster after his move to Chelsea. He missed again another chance Fernando, that seemed to be his faith at the blues. Now at Milan he does score and in this month he was an important asset to AC Milan earning him my number 2 pick.
View attachment 323837
Number 1:
Keisuke Honda
Honda was injured at the start of the season, in September he regained fitness and HOW. In the 2 games he played he scored two screamers of free kicks gave assists and created lots of chances. AC Milan seems to drive back to victory, because they drive a HONDA!

Match of the Month October: Juventus - AC Milan

Serie A
Juventus - AC Milan

With Juventus being the top dog in Italy this is a though cookie for the struggling AC Milan. Will Milan make a big surprise or is Juventus just to good for them?

Juventus won this game, this was deserved. Juventus was simple better but that the difference is just one goal is the biggest victory in this game for Milan.

Though the fans knew this would be a harsh game still the result is something that feels dissapointing.

Number 3:
Rodrigo Palacio

Rodrigo Palacio scored some very important goals this month and showed that he is important for this Inter.
View attachment 323772

Number 2:
Stephan El Shaarawy
The Farao, the talent, and in October he showed it. This month he scored easily and also was a threat for any opponent.

View attachment 323771
Number 1:
Juan Jesus, a harsh central defender who don't take nonsense from any striker. Beside his great defensive displays he made some important goals this month.
