Surprised there isn't a thread on this yet, but it's finally official.

Specs include a quad-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor, 5-inch touchscreen OLED display with 960 x 544 resolution, dual analog sticks (not nubs as on the current generation), 3G, WiFi, GPS, a rear-mounted touchpad, the same accelerometer / gyroscope motion sensing as in the PlayStation Move, an electronic compass, and cameras on both the front and back. Available this holiday season.

Games will come on "new media," not UMD anymore, but we're unclear on what sort of flash memory is being used.

Looks like, doubt I'll get it but would be good for when I go to UNI.

hardly play the PSP1 so i wont waste money on that

Uncharted and Trophies?!
Looks sweet, but probably ain't buying it. I haven't played my PSP for months now, and planning to sell it, so..

It was actually announced today.

Was looking at buying a PSP, but now I might get the 'NGP'.

Saw on various gaming websites earlier, looks decent, probably won't buy as my custom firmware PSP phat still does the job even though it is rarely used.

I hope Sony and developers will actually put some effort into supporting it this time. I bought an original PSP within a year of release, but sold it since it basically turned into a very bulky MP3 player. Dual analogue sticks is something which should have been in the original imo, but at least that's finally there.

I hope that UI isn't the one they will use......terrible.
