New QPR Boss Aims To Rule Europe

I take the QPR job knowing that it will be a tough task to take them to the top of possibly the hardest league in the world. However, It's the start of the 2011-12 season and the squad is in good shape for the 1st campaign in the Premier League. Time and hard work is needed to achieve our goals but it can certainly be done. The contract is until June 2013 and I'll earn £16,000 a week. The board expects me to at least avoid relegation.

Before taking the job, Djibril Cisse joined the club 6 months earlier than expected for a fee of £4.6 million to bolster attacking options as defender Taye Taiwo begins his season long loan spell from Italian giants AC Milan.

The board have refused to give any money for transfers as they feel the squad is too large and players must be sold before funds become available.

46 year old scout Steve Nickson was hired to help with the search for talent along with former Portsmouth scout Steve Martin.

After a disappointing transfer window which saw the board give NO funds to bring in players, the season is getting into its stride. A huge loss to Wigan could leave us sour at the end of the year if we happen to be in a relegation battle with them, but there is a long way to go.

September turned out to be a pretty good month. The loss to Swansea was hard to take as I felt the team could take something from it. However taking a point against Liverpool and putting 7 past Norwich did make up for this. We are also going strong in the League Cup and hope to give it a good run.

With the amount of goals conceded in October, it is pretty obvious where any money will be spent in January and Next summer. The defence needs a major revamp and a new keeper wouldn't hurt either. However, the legend 'One Size' Fitz Hall is my pick for the player that has impressed me most.

November Coming up asap.

Nice to see someone trying with a smaller side in the EPL. Good luck I will be following :)

After a bad November we are sitting in 18th and the teams morale is low and I call for a team meeting. I told the players not to let their heads drop and that form must be picked up to ensure that we were playing at this level next season. Captain Joey Barton agreed and the team seemed to rally behind his enthusiasm. Let's hope for a better December.

I'm looking forward to the next update. you have set it out ever so well.

Big result against Chelsea taking a point, somewhat dampened the disappointment of not beating Wigan. We are gaining momentum in the FA Cup now with two 3-0 wins over smaller clubs and look to keep going in the competition

P.S. I've gotten way ahead of myself, I'm in December 2012 now in my save so trying to track back and catch up. Definitely worth following this as it gets exciting!

A great month for the team, got some brilliant results in the league and survival looks likely although we are still down there and can't afford to slip up. Cisse was injured for most of this month but Zamora did a great job filling his boots as I play with 1 up front (4-2-3-1). We are also still going in the FA Cup which is a great achievement although it wasn't been the hardest of routes and most of the big teams are out.

The defeat to Fulham in the Final was hard to take, penalties can be very cruel. However I'm just happy we were there. It's a great achievement for the team.

Big changes must happen now, especially in defence. We had no problem scoring goals, but we were leaking goals far too much.

I'm really proud of the team after the 2011/12 season, we did what the board asked of us by surviving relegation. The bonus of reaching the FA Cup Final basically ensured that I would be given a new contract.

After Djibril Cisse finished; 2nd behind Wayne Rooney in the Footballer of the Year award, 1st in the Goal of the Year award, 3rd in the Top Goalscorer charts and was also place on the Team of the Year bench - It was obvious that he was going to attract interest. As expected Liverpool came in with an £8 million structured deal which I rejected instantly. £8 million is a lot of money but I simply can't afford to let my star player go who scored 37 goals in 38 games in all competitions.

The board told me that once again they wanted to avoid relegation, but I know this team has much greater potential with a few new signings.

The 2012/13 season is sure to be an interesting one. The 1st update will be up later today!

Very happy with our summer dealings. Yaya Sanogo will provide perfect back up for Djibril Cisse, which is the only reason I sold Zamora and Bothroyd. I liked both players but they won't get a game. The defence is rejuvenated by the signing of Gambian born - Norway international Kah. The 31 year old can partner Sebastian Bassong who has been brought in from Spurs. Van Buyten is obviously a veteran in the game, but he is perfect for back up. His experience and technical ability will help in the long run. Rene Adler is seen as a massive coup, lots of big European teams were interested in the out-of-contract German; Inter Milan for example. However he chose to sign a £59k per week contract with QPR. He is still only 27, young for a keeper, very exciting prospect for the team. Kanga Akale is a player I have always liked, so I signed him to a 1 year contract as back up because I play with 3 attacking midfielders. Same reason I brough in Steven Pienaar and Karim Ait Fana. Pienaar will not be signed permanent, he is getting on now and can be stubborn when on a big contract. He will be a valuable asset to have for a year though. Ait Fana is a young Moroccan who can score goals with great flair. I expect him to start in attacking midfield, possibly with Taarabt and Albin. Jamie Mackie and Shaun Wright-Phillips will be rotated into the team often as they had a great 11/12 season.

I will be sticking to the attacking minded 4-2-3-1 formation, however if we continue to concede goals I may change it up. The starting 11 will be Adler, De Silvestri, Bassong, Kah, Young, Barton, Faurlin, Ait Fana, Taarabt, Albin, Cisse. The main subs will be Kenny, Van Buyten, Onuoha, Wright-Phillips, Mackie, Sanogo, Pienaar.

We won every pre-season game beating; Glenavon, Rangers, Partick Thistle, Falkirk, Hartlepool, Valencia and Catania. We only conceded 3 goals and scored 28. Kanga Akale impressed, scoring 4 goals but unfortunately got injured and isn't expected back until December.

I'll post the August update soon.

Being knocked out the league cup so early was hard to take, playing so many games in so little time had an effect but its no real excuse. We should have beaten Wolves, Aston Villa and two injury time Everton goals meant that this month had the potential to be a lot better and would of had us at the top end of the table.
