Breaking news - Doncaster appoint duo Luke Walker and George Simpson as co managers for the rovers.

Season expectations from the chairmen for us to gain promotion to the championship with £100k transfer budget and £5500 wage budget to work with.

Looking at the team report it is clear that we need a left midfielder and a goalkeeper.
Within days of the new appointments they have been busy and have signed the out of favour QPR goalkeeper Brian Murphy who is valued at £1.6million.
Looks like a busy transfer window for the new rover's bosses.

Now for the first pre-season game against Rangers at the Keepmoat stadium.
It was a close encounter but rangers came out on top 1 - 0 with a goal from jamie O'Shiels.
We were unlucky not to get back into the game and we tired near the end of the game.

Shortly after the match youngster Jake Wakefield went on loan to Macclesfield for the rest of the season for valuable first team experince.
And the work is still going on with Jason Koumas signing on a free to join the mighty rovers on a two year deal.

The next pre-season game was against barrow and as expected with goals from Cotterill with a screamer, paynter and from hulme to give an emphatic win which was thoroughly deserved by the rovers.

The next pre-season game was against redditch and yet again we olstered a 3 - 1 away win with goals from wonder signing Jason Koumas and Billy Paynter with a double for the rovers. Yet again we will be looking forward to the next friendly game against conference team Grimsby.
