The Simplest of Tactics

What would you guys say is the most simple and standard formation, player roles and duties?

I'm thinking a 4-4-2.

GK - Goalkeeper - Defend

LB&RB - Full Back - Support/Auto

CB's - Central Defender - Defend

RM/LM - Wide Midfielder - Attack

CM's - Central Mid - Support

CF - Adv Forward - Attack

CF - Deep lying - Support

Anyone have any other suggestions?
