The Story of Sieb Rasko

Ok so as you will all know there is about 200 different story threads and although some are unique,different and worth reading...most are pretty much bland or a carbine copy of the previous persons thread.

So i thought i would make a story thread with a difference. Instead of adding myself into a club and trying to take on the world my way, I have created a player with CA 75 and PA200.

I will have no input on his future at all and i will only be watching from the sidelines and providing 6 month-yearly updates on his progress.

Hopefully it will prove to be a nice,fun and something a little different kind of story to what you might be getting bored of reading...I present

The Story of Sieb Rasko

01/07/2009-Oxford United have announced the signing of 18 year old Montenegrin Sieb Rasko. Rasko's has had a roller coaster life that seen him arrive in London eight years ago as with his family after seeking asylum from war torn Kosovo.

Rasko's love of football grew and was Scouted by Oxford by Jim Smith while attending Oxford's Inter School's 11 a side final as the guest of honour. Smith was so impressed with Rasko he contacted the school and Sieb's family right away, Now the Youngster has a contract with the club.

Sieb Rasko's playing career spanned 18 years playing for Oxford,Reading,Man Utd and Stoke before retiring at age 37. Rasko has just taken his first steps to becoming a first class manager.

Some guy did make one on FM09. The player started at Crystal Palace and ended up at Real Madrid. Had unreal stats like 19 pace, 20 acceleration, 18 crossing, 15 finishing etc.

Thanks. I remember that thread. This is a whole new fm so it may be different. His CA is only 77 and he starts with Oxford so need to wait and see how he turns out. Also have him set so he wants to be in football after he retires which would keep the story going.

Two Years On....

Sieb still finds himself at Oxford but looks like an improved player. Since arriving at Oxford two years ago Rasko has accomplished a fair amount. The now 20 year old made his international debut at the age of 19 against Armenia. Helping Oxford achieve promotion back to the Football League and getting into The League Two Team of the year.

The future is looking bright for the young Oxford Winger.

Season 3

One game into the new season and Reading boss Joe Royle swoops in with a 450k bid for Oxford star Sieb Rasko. Rasko was sensationally discovered by Oxford Director of Football Jim Smith while he attended a local school cup final. Rasko had been quoted in several local newspapers saying he wanted Oxford to match his ambitions and felt it may have been time to move on from the club that gave him his big break.

Rasko played 27 times for reading throughout the rest of the season and seemed to do ok. He may still be adapting to the step up but Royals fans are thought to be excited by the prospect of this young man. However with Joe Royle retiring...will Rasko be in the new managers plans?

I will also be updating the OP after each update so readers can get an idea of what has been happening.

sorry to say this, but im afraid he's not gonna improve much more if he doesnt get to join a better club that can develop his full potential. hopefully a stronger team does pick him up later ^^)
