Intro

​
  • Each Player Chooses an idol that plays in their position (see player profile pics)
  • Each player assigns 350 attribute points to create the player - some tried to replicate their idol and some didn't.
  • All players start off at FC Dallas as 14 year olds
  • Who will replicate their idol and become a legend!?!

The Curious Case of Daniele Del Conte, or Thierry Who-nry?:


Born in Milan, and a staunch supporter of the Rossoneri, Daniele Del Conte grew up in the era of Inzaghi, Del Piero and Totti. However, there was one striker that always stood out to the young player, a man who played in red, not in Italy, but England, for Arsenal Football Club.

Thierry Henry.

After excelling in the youth teams of Milan, he followed Henry's career out in the States as the hitman's story came to a close. Del Conte himself jumped at the chance to make his name in the US, with his career starting where his idol's had ended, finding himself and a number of other, similarly aged wonderkids at FC Dallas in the MLS.

Only time will tell where Del Conte will end up, and whether he'll emulate Thierry Henry, or become a Francis Jeffers...​
 
First team status already! Burrini will be a rock in the defence. Quite a few with not needed status though :p
 
Haven't progressed yet to could move the team around a bit? Or get rid of some of there original playerers?
 
Hmm, well, do their u21/u18 team play any games? In that case I'm sure our development will be quick so that we won't risk not playing. I just guess the MLS-teams don't have the "hot prospect" category, because surely we'd all be in that. If it looks like it might be a problem, maybe changing country could be an idea?

BTW: May I complement you on a set of completely rubbish mental abilities Naterr? :D I'm glad I'm left footed, so that I have to cover for Juan Carlos instead of you :D I feel sorry for old 'Snail-feet' Beckenbauer though, how is he to make up for your 1 concentration, decisions, composure, heading and jumping? :D You are fast though, I'll give you that!
 
Don't think you should worry too much about the starting status zacram. But are there any regulations in the MLS that might be problematic?

Not sure tbh, never really used the MLS before.

Going to try simming 3 months and see what happens as a test. If it looks OK will just carry it on :)
 
Unfortunately a few players got released and didn't really work.

I have now changed the starting team to New York Cosmos in second division and going to see what happens - I cant have the league as playable but can still see players match performances so could work!

Yeh I tried to replicate Cafu as best I could with the allocation, just went for his speed and technical ability"....kinda hoping that after some tutoring they will go up!

he is more a wing back than a RB...we don't need to jump/head anything :P

Sorry guys been out most of the day - I ont think the game is going to work easily from the MLS and most other nations have foreign player limits!

It is therefore unlikely we will be able to start at the same club as i wanted - does anyone have a suggestion for a starting league/nation? will then just randomly assign players to clubs or something.

So will have to restart this i am afraid :(
 
Sucks

I for one vote Football League 1 for the teams :D Should give us all game time off the bat.
 
How about a lower league Portuguese team. Don't think there are foreign limits there. Belgium might work as well.
 
Quite like the idea of starting outside of England - so will look at those leagues and check foreign player limits etc. Hopefully can start in the same team but if not I will just have to randomly assign players to teams in one of those divisions.Will start a new thread up later on today hopefully when I finish work.
