This is one of the most anticipated games of 2011 for me and I am sure many others who played the 1st game... I personally did not finish it though (I might still)

From a small Polish Development Stuido, CD Projeckt Red brought you RPG game of the year with over 100 awards and critical acclaim comes the next installment, upgraded, updated and looks insanely awesome!!

If you played the 1st installment you will remember the new/strange combat system (which has now been changed) the mature nature of the game and the sheer greatness of RPG elements and story.. One of the best games I have played (well not entirely played)

Assassins of Kings is going to be one of the best games of 2011 for you RPG lovers out there like me! I am 100% it will be raking in many awards this year!

I am not going to give you a review of the game (as I have not played it myself, just got released here in SA two days ago, my Game Zone mate is keeping me the Limited Edition Box set until tomorrow for R379.00, see pic below which is about £35 for you in the UK)

my pc meets the recommended specs, just need another 1 or 2 gb of RAM (system) got 1bg on my Nvidia card... will see how it looks, if it lags I will get some more RAM my pc runs nicely though so here is hoping...

Wonder if it will come out on Ps3 or Xbox? maybe even exclusive? RPG are meant for PC's though...

bought it Friday afternoon but **** me I have to upgrade my PC I thought I still had a good PC.... I did say to myself that if it does not look good (and play everything on low, like it is) I am going to upgrade my PC to handle it perfectly as well as then having a good PC for years to come like I have had with mine over the last 4 years....

the game looks great (the amount of work they went into detail, design) the nipples and ******* of Triss look real as well as her shaved pubic hair in one of the 4 starts to the game you can choose...

might take me 2 months to upgrade the PC though... has anyone else played it yet?

Did you try it on the highest settings? Because ubersampling is usually defaulted on then, turn it off as it would make your FPS drop massively.

I'm playing this atm & it's really good. I upgraded before xmas so no worries about running it. I've experienced the occasional crash but it's tolerable. Some of the bosses are uber tough but you can switch to easy if you can't put them down. Graphically it's much improved on the original, as you'd expect, & it's got a well designed prologue which pulls you in. The combat system is better implemented too & the different skill progression trees potentially give a lot of replay value. It's a bit dialogue-heavy for my tastes but you can skip this if you want.

All in all I recommend this to all RPG fans - if your rig is up to it.

Apparently, if you want to improve the combat and make it more interesting, there are a few good mods out there!

Had a little play of this the other week, my PC really struggled with it sadly. But the one thing I have to say is that the combat system did seem rather clunky so it's good to know there are mods already trying to fix that. Demon's Souls has the best control scheme and combat system for these types of games in my opinion.

Developer CD Projekt RED today confirmed the release of the The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings for Xbox 360. The title is slated for release at the end of this year.

The announcement was made today during a live stream from the team. CD Projekt RED said the Xbox 360 port will not suffer from any gameplay compromises and that the graphics are "looking awesome."

First week sales for the PC version surpassed 400,000 worldwide, according to the developer.

I bought the limited edition box set 4 days after it was released for PC, it is gathering dust at home, my pc was not able to run it and now my home pc is down and out...

It looks good, occasional pop up as expected with the xbox but certainly right up there with some of the best looking games on the xbox. Very impressive.

Was waiting for the enhanced edition to come out before I started playing, so with my game now updated I might as well start it.
