Been doing well in my long term West Ham save, winning mostly everything. But at the start of the current season (2019/2020), I decided to throw caution to the wind and splash out majorly last year (£120 mil' on a really superb defender) wiping out all my transfer budget of £60 mil' and I added another sixty in monthly installments over 48 months, all easily fell within my wage budget. However, the club turnover to loss ratio has got really out of control over that year, and my wage budget and transfer budget for this season are paltry (£1,700,000 and £1,500,000 respectively). It isn't that what worries me. It's that I have the likes of Babacar and Pastore coming into the last year of their contracts and I'm £400,000 over wage budget, so can't negotiate new contracts. Have tried to release lesser players but the board keeps vetoing. HELP !.

Your own fault. Why would you spend £120million on one player? A defender as well. If it was a striker who was scoring 60+ goals a season, it would seem a little more reasonable, but £120million is still way to much.

You're going to have to sell some players to get your wage budget back in shape.

Problem is alot of my players (even those who aern't top class) are on substansial wages, due to the fact that I was very cautious in negotiations. I never really negotiate unless I have too, my wage budget before was big. When I've got offers for them, they either reject the offer or ask for some of their pay to be subsidised when they move.

You will be losing over £1m a month for the next four years because of that transfer. You're going to need to sell alot of players. £120m on anyone seems excessive. Try and buy players when they are younger and cheap, then flog them when they get to their late twenties. :) Rinse and repeat, and you shouldn't lose too much money :)

Alot of clubs are reluctant to come in for my players, even when the asking price is laughably low and they're transfer listed and set to not needed.

If there was ever a time for an oil rich Arab, this is it.

If you want the chance for a takeover to help you can use fmrte and cheat. Just set your chairman status to 1 and you should get a takeover soon. But you're not guaranteed a sugar daddy takeover. Could be just another member of the board.

hey mate, you are in a bit of a pickle unfortunately... you were a tad irresponsible with that purchase (I know the feeling though, you control everything and when you have so much cash and a great team, you always want to use it... but you have to be disciplined and use whats allowed and use the rest to grow the club)

take a look through here and you might pick up one or two things that could help you:

120 million, on a defender ? ... not to be to harsh but that's your own daft ****** fault lol ... even 40 million makes me cringe and think twice !

ok ok, lets not beat a man while he is down... he knows he f'd up, just post comments that could actually help the situation!

120 million for a defender :O Screeny him please he must be incredible :P

I've paid £75m for a defender before but that was straight up cash and he was a LB, very hard to find! But DAAAYUMN!! £120m, holy gajeesus! XD Good on ya fella.

Bare in mind this is when the club was turning a regular profit. I'll get a screeny in a little while.
