sorry if theres already a thread on this, but i just didn't get it at all.

Saw the film the night before and was a great film, but there just seemed to be no stroy line bar showing that people get older.

The first episode was abit slow but I think it will kick off next episode. It just seemed to be a way of re-introducing the characters to everyone because it was abit slow but it will get better Shane Meadows doesn't let you down

Just watched the first episode, thought it was pretty good. I agree with above about the guys on there scooters though, could turn out to be quite a good tv series.

Completely the opposite to you Jack, i enjoyed the film, but thought last night's first episode of '86 was **** tbh, there's no storyline developed yet, and it all looks a little hectic, they've tried to do much by way of introducing the characters, and in such have sacrificed the story line, the guy on the motorbike just looked like a massive **** and so far there is no reminder of what the whole film is about, apart from Woody (is that his name - the main guy?) saying that his girlfriend and his friends aren't skin heads anymore.. I didn't like the look of it on the advert, but i gave it a chance and i won't be watching again, 1 out of 5 stars for me.

I preferred the original film to the new series; Shaun just looks so silly in the new series and the football firm wannabes on mopeds made me cringe so much. Hopefully the series can improve a **** of a lot to live up with the excellent film.

the film is brilliant, and yes i agreethe first episode was pretty ***** bu it looks to be all kicking of nextweek and yep shn meadows will not let you down
