It also depends on how long the player is out with injury. If he's out for two day's it isn't a problem but two months is.

To be fair though, Downing signed for Villa while injured.. So why can't we sign injured players? Unless the injury is really bad? Which I doubt Kompany's is.. Does anyone know the answer?

3 weeks he was injured. Re-tried and I got him so its all ok.

Steve Finnan didn't move to Hull last season because he failed his medical, happens all the time in the modern game, Villa took a big risk with Downing. Marlon King failed his medical at Fulham and on FM09, Stephen Appiah couldn't sign for you straight away as he would fail his medical due to a virus.

It is most annoying when they are injured the whole transfer window though and transfer listed, once they get fit again, they could be off the transfer list which is rather fustrating
