tips for playing more direct style?

Been playing possession, short pass, slow tempo my last few saves and I feel like changing it up after I finish this season. Hoping to get some input on formations and player suitability suggestions(IE what stats should the midfielders have, individual instructions, other nuances). Any other tips or info you think might help would be great. Currently have lamela and sharway as IF wingers so would prefer a tactics that utilize them. Curious if anyone has experience putting wingers ALL the way up to the same level as strikers and how that worked out for them, I've always had them at the AMC level.

i have been trying to get a direct style of football to work in the last few FM's and not been able to get it to work. i was trying to get a tactic like west ham, that just throw long balls in to the box from deep, big man up front with Nolan behind him, i have had no luck:/
