Hull City Football Club have today announced that it has parted company with manager Phil Brown, 50. Despite Brown defying the pre-season odds to keep the newly promoted side amongst the Premier League Elite, a poor second half of the season ultimatley cost him his job.
Chairman Paul Duffen has moved quickly to bring in his new man and today announced that former England international David Maunsell will take charge with immediate effect.
It is Maunsell's first job in management and some are all ready questioning the move and predicting Hull's downfall this season.
Maunsell announced that "Although it wasn't a dream come true, I am delighted to have the oppurtunity to bring change here to Hull City" And change is the way he has begun with the current backroom staffed all relieved of their contracts as Maunsell looks to shape his own team with his own vision ......
