What tactic are you playing. Bear in mind his creativity and flair are quite low. Have you him with a lot of creative freedom. He is also a less than average player regarding fitness, pace and acceleration. Are you expecting too much from him in that regard?
In the opening season he scored 5 goals in 2 starts and 2 bench appearances. That is very good. A new signing will often take time to gel.
He isnt small. His anticipation is good. His main assets are a good header, a first touch and a composed finish. If you have him pushed forward try getting him sit a little deeper.
