Too easy?

Hi folks. I just got hold of FM2015 despite having read mainly negative reviews. So far my only gripe is that it's not proving much of a challenge. On FM2014 I would always struggle keeping Crystal Palace in the Premier League and never managed more than a mid-table finish in my first season. Right now, it's January 2015, and I'm sitting comfortably 3rd, despite having not added a single new player to my squad, and using default tactics for the most part.
