Hello everybody,

Greetings,
Keep them at your club because when they are loaned out their training is minimal and they don't tend to improve. It is also important to give them first team experience, not long but short spells in matches will help their stats skyrocket.

yeah, i agree with alan...
just keep them at your club, give them 1st team experience
(maybe as a sub for last 10 minutes when your team is leading) :D

I don't entirely agree with alan. I usually use a mixture of loan spells with periods at my club. This is my usual pattern - once they get to 18 loan out to a lower club in the same division or the one below (or wherever they will get guaranteed 1st team experience) for 1 season. When they return put them in the reserve squad and play them occasionally in the first team.
Repeat until they are about 22. If they have not developed by then I normally sell them.

In my opinion regular season long loans for first team experience is much, much better than being in the reserve team with even the very best facilities and coaches.

It really helps to add the coaching staff and the facilities of the club you loan players to into the mix.

I tend to have at least one feeder club that is primarily chosen for their facilities and use that one as my primary outlet for loan spells. In many cases, I keep the youngster in my team/reserves/youth squad for the first half of the season and then in January send him to my affiliate.

It really depends on how much potential a player has - if it's a superstar in the making, I usually take care of the development myself, if it's unclear, I mix home-grooming and loan spells, and if it's someone I have little hope for, I loan him out so he can do well on a lower level to make him interesting for prospective buyers.

I think on the whole, it comes down to personal preference what you do, it all can have its benefits, but whatever you do, don't send him to a non-active league.

I also do both things.

ie, my current game at ManU, it's da silva's brothers case; Fabio is on loan now, Rafael training with first squad and playing more games as the season goes.

It depends on if you honestly trust your youngsters to already play at your first squad or you prefer them to improve playing regularly on loan in other side.
