What is the best or ideal training schedule to follow throughout the course of the season

1- General Training ( focus + intensity)

2- Match Training (focus)

3- The schedule percentage bar

All depend on a few factors.

1. What do you feel your team is lacking in? Intensity I'd go for balanced, but in the busy periods change it to light. Pre season heavy.

2. Ask yourself the same question as above. Obviously tactic only 50% until your tactics are 100% familiar. Then I'd go for 20-30% depending what your team your facing and areas of your team are weak. Playing Stoke away? Defending set pieces. If your team isn't gelled (check with your assistant) put it on team cohesion. Once your team gets to "willing to die for each other" you'll be unstoppable.

I use General training , balanced - average

Match training - Attacking movement vs weak teams and defensive positioning vs strong teams

Percentage 40%
