Tranfer prices!

Hello.. I recently bought the game well knowing that the tranfers on previous FM games was high...

But this is starting to get ridiculous.. I started up a game, and i bid 15 mill for Jermain Defoe, thinking it might be to much for a player of his calibre, Tottenham was willing to negotiate the offer.. They would sell him for 35 mill. Is that not insane?

There is loads of other players that is overpriced.. I bid 25 mill for Higuain, Real negotiate.. They want 65 mill..

I can go on and on.. I hope im not the only one who thinks its a problem..

Wait a season or two. If you have an transfer update it helps. Second season got Hernandez for £6m Kagawa for £8m and oxlade chamberlain for £6m. Sure it's not realistic but it's stops deals from becoming unrealistic. If players were cheap enough players would move clubs almost every season. Saying that selling players is a *****. Hernandez scored in total 76 goals in 51 games. I thought I might be able to cash in to clear evertons debt and rebuild a squad so I looked at teams budgets real and barca have budgets of £240m for some reason so I offer Hernandez out for £200m so I slowly decrease the offer and I did £60m. Still nothing do I didnt bother. Anything less would just be a waist. I wasn't expecting to get anything over a 100m but with Hernandez out performing every other player in the game I expected some sort of substantial offer.

Well I was offered him for £1.8m recently but it is 3rd season. Prices tend to get more realistic after the first year. Moses had a sale value of £23m according to genie scout in the first season but in the second season I got him for £5.5m. Saying that they did get relegated.

Did you pirate the game or turn steam updates off?

The game was patched to fix this, playing without the patch means you will experience the problem.

The 'problem' tends to be less severe after the first season anyway, remember when you start a save, you are taking over a team that in real life has already spent all its summer money on new players, bringing in another batch of new players isn't realistic.

Genuinely though, are Real likely to want to sell one of the best strikers in the world? Why would they accept £25 million in a market where Andy Carroll is worth £30 million?

The original transfer bug, click here, was fixed. I accept it is still difficult to sell players above market value, even when it appears there is demand, but as for peoples gripes about being unable to buy top stars without paying top dollar, yawn.

As for the defoe story, maybe he had just signed a new contract, maybe a new spurs manager considers him central to his plans, or maybe they are in a financially secure state as a club and feel no need to sell, hence the high asking price.

People need to remember this isn't FIFA manager.
