Transfer problems

Hello everyone!

I'm new to the game and have trained a team for one season.
I now want to sell some players because they are old or causing too many problems and also to replace them for new better ones.

Problems:

- Transfer listed players don't get ANY offers. The asking price is close to the actual player value. I've lost some players on free transfers because i refused to give them a contract and got no offers for them so they just left when the contract was over.

- Negotiations with my best striker went badly because I was trying to get better terms and now he doesn't want to negotiate anymore. Is there any way to prevent him from leaving when his contract expires or should I sell him before I also lose him on a free transfer? (if i get any offers)

Other:

- My board accepted to increase the transfer budget but it remains the same. Is that normal?

very frustrating problems, I've found player reactions to be terrible in this game.

I played my CB in CM due to heavy injury, "I beleive your playing me in the wrong position"
Me- "Sorry it wont happened again"
"Sorry I just cant let this go"
me - "I think we should end this meeting"
"I think i should leave before I say anthing I regret"

next day - "Requests transfer"

I dont have any solutions regarding the problems, Selling players is too hard on this game.
Man City put a 3m bid in for my 3.9 mill rated, First team player - I set asking price of 10m. Rejected it. now hes unhappy....

Yeah, everyone have a same problem, some say it transfer bug. But it depends, i you sell world class player,a lot of people will try to offer however they won't offer more than the original value of player. But when we want their player, they will triple the price.. So unfair..

Yeah, your striker is so greedy.. Put him in reserve and lets him die<).. Search a new, better striker who not greedy as him.. I start to feel annoy with agent system since they ask a lot of money for salary.. I just let them die in reserve and put him rest for entire season so I kill the greedy guy.. LOL.. The most annoying is when the staff as salary like 300k p/w..

Well this is a big bug with all the fan hope they will fix in its next patch.. Just hang on and wait the next patch. Nothing we can do about it.

I know its suggesting cheat, but the only solution if player ask a lot of money but he not worth it, just accept what he want and get frmte and change its salary to what he deserve.. And live happy ever after(K)

you say its annoying but does this not reflect real life??? and to answer the question on budgets check the budgets screen to see if it may have gone to your wage budget instead maybe. also try to build a positive relationship with your striker through private conversations and talking to the press and he may sign a new deal but will take time personally i would sell and buy a youngster

There is a lot of option in real life.. The player has no problem in this case but THE AGENT who demand and try to be greed.. That my point actually and he demand something which beyond normal sometime.

i totally disagree the agent fees are more than likely a representation of real life i will give you an example on my liverpool save i bought luis suarez for 20 million from ajax (he is wank by the way) and he demanded 150000 a week and a signing on fee of 3 million and his agent likewise. got them down to 2 million a piece thats ten percent of the transfer fee i think that that is proportionate to real life. i think you underestimate how much money agents take out of the game and how much influence they have.

From the answers given so far:

- i should sell my striker and buy a younger one, but that doesn't make much sense to me because he is already young and i might not have enough money to buy another one if i don't sell someone first.

- or i should be good to him and improve our relationship so that he changes his mind. that makes more sense but sounds like a risky plan. i'm afraid i'll lose over 1 million if he just walks away.

- i will check again if the transfer budget went to the wage budget instead, but it didn't seem so at first glance.

- not being able to sell players is a bug.. well, that's not cool!
i should just accept that the players i don't want will leave when the contract is over?

This is a bug that has been confirmed by SI. They will fix it for the patch that should be out this month.
