Amortisation of players signed by the previous board alone adds up to €144m already - even selling those players, or letting them leave for free, won't take away the requirement within La Liga's FFP rules.

So either Barca rake in around €200m in player sales, or Messi agrees to play for (basically) free. There really does seem no other option.

Arsenal are still confident and working to complete the agreement with Brighton for Ben White on a permanent deal - personal terms already agreed.
