Hey guys, I am playing FM 2014 for a couple of months now and I am facing problems with the transferbids that I get and also make for players.

For exampel. Player X has a value of 100.000 Dollar. If I want to sell him, the computer always makes bids for about a max. of 20-30% of the Players value. And from the other direction, if I am about to buy a Player for the same value, the computer wants me to pay round about 500.000 - 600.000. Sometimes way more, depending on the player.

Why is that? And how can I achieve that the computer is willing to pay more for my high value players?

Hope you can explain it, why it's the way it is :)

The computer is a cheap ******* always looking to get the best deal tbh wouldn't you try to get a player on the cheap if you could instead of paying the full price but regardless of that just reject the bid saying its far too low and offer the player you want to sell again to other clubs and the clubs should increase their price.

Also in regards to buying from the computer it depends on how important the player is to that club the more important the player is the harder/more expensive it will be to purchase that player I would suggest trying to unsettle the player and if he hands in a transfer request the computer will normally lower their demands.

Hope I helped :D

So... a cheap *******... Farewell. Hope Sigames are going to put some effort in making it a bit more realistic compared to the value of the players...

By the way. How do I unsettle a player?

Thanks for your explaination.

Yeahh but tbf even in real life not everyone has a price tag if you know what I mean some clubs can't afford to see their players leave and even if they do they will want maximum profit lol :L but yeahh hope SI do make transfers more realistic. Also to try to unsettle a player (it may or may not work) you click on the player you want to buy and on their profile there is a transfer button click on that and there is something called "Declare Interest" choose "For Transfer" and then go to your inbox and you could talk about the player and then the next day the player will tell if he is interested and he may hand in a transfer request later but beware they will not hand in a transfer request straight away it may take a long time. :)

Erm, are you sure about this mate?!

If you're actively trying to sell your player then of course the bids are going to be lower, think of the other way round when the asking price is less than the value for a transfer listed player you're trying to buy.

I can totally understand the AI wanting to get the best deal for themselves (human players do exactly the same thing) and I expect to have to pay more than the value of a player if they're not transfer listed. However, the thing that bugs me is when they make bids way below the value of your player when you haven't even offered/transfer listed them. This often happens multiple times before they get the message that I'm not going to sell one of my best players for such a low amount.

Also, if you're trying to sell a player then make sure you give them plenty of game before the transfer window opens. Other clubs are far more likely to be interested in a player who is playing often and putting in good performances.
