I dont know if anyone does this already or feels the need to do it but i do it quite alot. Everyone knows you cant sign a Brazilian youngster or even any other non EU youngsters until they are 18. Normally i suspect once you unearth a great gem you sign them straight away and then they join as soon as they are 18 which if you sign a 14year old you have to wait 4 years and in that time he might not develop much.

So what i do is get the player in on a 4 week trial and as soon as it ends i get him in on another 4 week trial and so on and forth. During this time i let him play for my U18s and reserves and maybe even time with my first team.

A few good things come out of this, one is that he will develop at your club to your training methods etc and another is by the time he joins your club he will nearly have gained an English (or wherever you are managings) passport.

If this is a decent tip then let me know or if people do it already it would be good to know.

And off topic but i have to promote this. My football quiz is back up and running and round 1 is ready just by clicking here: http://www.fm-base.co.uk/forum/forum-games/60178-jackos-just-fun-english-football-quiz.html

That's actually a great idea, if you'd have put Trial in the title, rather than getting the A and the I the wrong way round ;)

Think I'll give that one a try though, thanks for the tip!
