Trouble Patching

I downloaded patch 11.3, and have update files in my folder, but when i start i new game, Torres is at liverpool etc.

any ideas?

You must select the 11.3 database when starting a new game

Well when you click new game you should get this pop up:

Then you click Database, and then select the 11.3.0 Update.

If you arent getting that then you havent installed the patch correctly.

All you need to do to install the patch is download it to your desktop, then double click it and it will self install.

Unfortunately, I don't. I click 'New Game', it says 'Loading database', then I get the country selection screen.

I downloaded the patch, clicked it. It unpacked, asked me locate my .exe file. Now I have an update folder in my game data. I copied the db from there into the other db file (maybe i shouldnt have)

You shouldnt have.

I suggest undoing what you did if you can remember where everything was, if not then backup your saves/logos/facepacks etc and then reinstall and patch again.

Right, I've figured out the problem now, if not the solution.
I am using a crack because my computer has no disk drive. But, the patch is patching the original exe.
