Trouble with scoring

It is still early in the season, but I'm having 20+ shots a game and not converting many, only scoring about 2 per game. I am Arsenal and my main Striker is Klass-Jan Huntelaar

Did you just purchase Huntelaar? It might take him a while to settle if he's new to the team. Also, do you use the Work Into Box shout? A big point about FM14 that I've noticed (I think, it could be coincidence) is players take a lot of shots from long range and aren't often successful. So I always develop the tactic to work the ball into the box to increase chances of shots on target and goals.

I did use it, but I thought that might be the problem because most teams have been sitting deep and the ball wouldn't find anyone and just get cut out. And I might leave Huntelaar out for a couple of games while he settles in.
