The effect on the players can be different.

some players will be delighted to be tutored, some others will not.

It can be used as a way to impart ppms from the tutor to the tutored. For examples, there are certain PPMs that cannot be instigated by the manager and can be gained only through tutoring. Also, tutoring do not take away training time for learning that ppm unlike those initiated by the manager.
