What do you guys think about having two deep lying playmakers on defend. I have read that deep lying playmakers with a defend duty sit in front of the back for and dictate plays from deep. I will have Alex Song and either Yann M'Villa or Thiago Motta playing this role for my Arsenal Team. I don't think Jack Wilshere is defensively good enough to play in Central Midfield positions. I need two warriors in their to win the midfield battle and effectively start plays from deep. I am going to be playing a 4231.

I am not keen on the 4231 deep formation so my deep lying playmakers will be in the central midfield positions.

Please let me know what you think about this idea and if it could work

I think it could work even though I don't like o have two roles the same next to each other (it only gives you 1 dimension in game instead of 2). But if you tweak the roles so one of them is a bit more aggressive I think it should work fine.

As Chelsea, I play Mikel as DLP Defend at DM, and Lampard as DLP support at CM, and can say this works really well for me. I'm not sure having them both as the same would work too well tbh, just my opinion on it though.

I've not tried it with anyone else though, trial and error mate!

King what formation are you using for your Chelsea team
