This is my third thread since I started playing FM 17 some weeks ago, my first game whatsoever since CM01/02. I have played with Everton only one save and at the moment on my way finishing the 4th season. I have a question about the importance of having u23 and u18 teams and staff.
I have tried to build up my team like this:
I have around 50-60 players in squad all together. A good X11, then a reserv 11 with huge talents to get some playing time and some 5 extra players. All extra players except from these mentioned, are on loan. By this way I have around 25 players in A team, NO players in u23 and NO players in u18. The only players ever playing in these teams are my youth contracts, before I in the next transfer window decide if to release them or loan them out or consider them as talents in A squad. So I basically have no u23 team and no u18 team. I don't mind if this is good or wrong, thats the way I want it.
When I looked through my staff all together, I realised I have a lot of staff connected to these teams, that I don't use. U23 manager and assistant, u18 fitness coaches etc, together some 10-15 people with salaries. DO THEY DO ANY GOOD? Thats my question. Is there someting in the game saying that I need these facilities for these youth teams? Or can I release these staff members to save some money for the club? I have tried to follow all recommendations for getting youth prospects, training facilities, scouting network and so on. But if all my youth players (that are not reserves in A squad) are on loan - why do I need staff to u23 and u18?

G Donnarumma 4.5 star CA, (4.5-5 stars PA) - Rajkovic 2.5 (4)
DL Shaw 3.5 - Owen (regen) 2.5 (3.5-4.5)
DC Romagnoli 4 - Wood (regen) 2 (4-5)
DC Sule 3 (4) - Vallejo 2.5 (4)
DR Tah 4 (4.5) - Coleman 2.5
DM Akkaynak 2.5 (3-4) - Parkinson (regen) 2 (3.5-4.5)
MC Tielemans 3 (4) - Afonso Sousa 2.5 (3.5-4.5)
MC Domenech 3 (4-5) - Asensio 3 (3.5)
AML Sane 4 (4.5) - Origi 3.5 (4.5)
AMR Pereira 3 (4.5) - no one at the moment..
A Ze Gomes 2.5 (4-5) - Pinamonti 2.5 (4-5)
The team has become somewhat weakened to do mostly Man U, Man C and Monaco snapping up my best players like Lemos, Dembele, Pavon, Kuki, Bazoer, , Thiago Maia, Barkley etc (for big money). But as I said that's not a part of the question.
Except from these players I have some more in A squad, like MC Hughes 3 (3.5), A Carter (regen) 2.5 (3.5-4.5) and some more. But ALL OTHER PLAYERS are on loan, great players without work permit, huge talents that are yet not good enough for playing time etc. But as I said, no players what so ever in u23 or u18 team. And I don't want to do it any other way. But, can I release the staff connected to these reserve teams?
