actually felt sorry for the u-21s today-normally i love it when england lose but that was harsh on the young-uns. The pen-shootout was epic

Yup epic is the word to describe it. Some of the penalties were brilliant..now why can't most of the more experienced players take penalties as good as those!

Also, Holland's keeper should have been warned about coming off his line! He did it loads! Fair play to the England players who still got it past him...he's a bit dodgy all round imo.

Holland U21 4-1 Serbia U21
Holland brushed aside Serbia to clinch the European Under-21 Championship title with a convincing victory.

Daniel de Ridder set up Otman Bakkal to put the Dutch ahead before Serbia's Aleksandar Kolarov hit the post.

Ryan Babel's cool finish made it 2-0 and, after Serbia's Aleksandar Kolarov was sent off, Maeco Rigter raced clear to add a third.

Babel had a penalty saved before Dragan Mrdja replied for Serbia but Luigi Bruins sealed Holland's win late on.

The Dutch were completely rampant by the end and Babel and Bakkal both had opportunities to add to their tallies.
