Each player recieves a training score when he is trained. The training score is made up of 7 areas.
Man Management/Working with Youngsters + Star Rating + Coach Workload + Category Workload + Coach Mental Attributes + Player Attributes + Player Happiness
I'll break each one down for you...
Man Management/Working with Youngsters
Coaching Attributes - Man Management will provide a higher score for your 1st team/reserves and Working With Youngsters will provide a higher score for your U18's. If you have very limited coaching slots you may want to hire coaches as opposed to 1st team coaches and youth coaches so they can train both but you will need to make sure they have both these stats covered.
Star Rating
Relates to how good your coach is at training a specific training category.
Here is a little guide on each training category, what attributes to look for in a coach and what percentage each attribute adds to his star rating.
Shooting - DDM 40% Technique 40% Attack 20%
Attacking - DDM 40% Attack 40% Tactical 20%
Defending - DDM 40% Defence 40% Tactical 20%
Ball Control - DDM 40% Technique 40% Mental 20%
Tactics - DDM 60% Tactical 40%
GK Handling - DDM 60% Goal Keepers 40%
GK Shot Stopping - DDM 60% Goal Keepers 40%
Aerobic - DDM 40% Fitness 60%
Strength - DDM 40% Fitness 60%
* DDM = Determination + Discipline + Motivation. Note: Each are rated evenly when calculating star ratings.
Coach Workload
Light is best. You may have to add more than one coach to a training category in order to achieve light.
Category Workload
How high the slider is set
Coach Mental Attributes
Adaptability - For foreign staff
Tactical Knowledge - Relates to their experience as a coach, for example where they've worked in the past and how well they learnt the ropes. This will give them an advantage over lesser experienced coaches.
Player Attributes
The higher the players attribute levels are the harder it is to increase in value.
and last of all
Player Happiness
Had this game one week now and I have only played about ten games. The majority of my time has been spent researching as there seems to be #%*! all guides on this stuff. I spent a lot of time googling and this site came up a lot and it has helped me with a lot of aspects to the game. In regards to training though I got a lot of the info from one website so credit to him but I have tried to simplify it and categorise it a bit better as well as add the coach search tips which I had to calculate myself. So puzzled why info is so lacking on all this stuff. I haven't played long enough to reap any training benefits so we will soon see. Btw I have no idea how much each area adds to the mysterious training score in relation to importance but it is totally irrelevant. Get each area to the best level you can and your training should improve, I hope. Must be time to play now...
