Underdog Tactic for minnows Motherwell

Hey Guys

Just looking for some advice, looking for some advice on tactics for underdogs. My team is Motherwell, more so for European football. I have always usually went for the 4-5-1 with a DMC and wingers, (4-1-2-2-1) if u will. Was wandering if there was something better I could do.

Whilst the 451 is a good formation, its just a formation and its the approach wthin it that counts. Are you looking for a tactic that is a plig & play that aims ( and succeds) to beat the Matche engine rather than the opponent...or a tactic where you tinker to get the best out of your players and react to what you see on the pitch ?...or are you just looking for some advice regarding specific players and pethaps a starting strategy ?
