Unsettling a player in 2014???

Basically how do you do it?? It seems a lot harder than last years and thus far haven't unsettled one player.
 
Yes it is harder, making it a bit more realistic. Last year, getting Neymar was pretty easy, since it was so easy to unsettle him. This year, it's slightly tougher.

Usually, contract rebels are easier to unsettle. If a player turns down a contract from a club at any time, for any reason, you can begin your process (Declare interest, rejected bids) etc, it'll have more chances of success. For a player, who has a favored club as his present club or favored personnel as his Head Coach, it is rather tougher to unsettle, and is usually a long term project..
 
So El Shaarawy (sp) at Milan will be hard to unsettle 4 seasons in? I have declared interest for last 2 seasons and have been bidding up to 80m pounds and they keep rejecting!!!
 
Also, Stanciu (started off at Steau) now at leverkusen has been turning down loads of contracts but will not submit a transfer request...
 
In my save, I got Stanciu for around 10 Million after he became unsettled. El Shaarawy went to PSG after 4 seasons I think, for 50 Million. I kept declaring interest and making bids, he got unsettled and submitted a transfer request. I was just successful in getting Stanciu though, so didn't bid for El Shaarawy.
 
I'm sure in FM13 there was the option to 'endorse player' which usually unsettled the player, and ****** of the players manager. I know that option's not around now though :S.
 
I wish you could talk to the player to try and persuade him or speak to the manager and ask him to let him go. The thing is both players have their club's as favoured personnel so it's going to be hard to unsettle them...
 
I was in the Summer transfer window at the start of my second season with Man Utd, and declared interest and bidded for Lamela (Spurs always wanted like 150M for him).. so I gave up, but Dortmund must of been interested in him too and he submitted a transfer request. But Dortmund didn't have enough money to buy him, so as I was in negotiations with Lamela, Dortmund bought Mirallas and I got Lamela in the end :) was chuffed to bits
 
In FM 13 you could endorse a player then be in his favourite personnel & that would help you sign them. I cannot see that in FM 14 & that sucks bad
