Update Problems!!!plz help

hey guys ho[efully you will be able to help me with my update problem, ok so here it is.

everytime i have tried to download the update for football manager 2009 it downloads but it wont work on my game for some reason. i have tried everything i can think of ive een tried copying it to my database folder and ive tried to get it through stream and for some reason it still wont work.


IF YOU CAN HELP OR HAVE ANY OTHER IDEAS THEN PLEASE POST THEM AS IM ANNOYED PLAYIN THE BASIC 9.0.0 THANKS GUYS

have u the real game or did u download it coz i think the updates dont wrk in the downloaded version or maybe im wrong???

have u uninstall the game and installed it again? maybe give that a try

Save it to the desktop. Do you have WinRaR? If not, you can download it for free @: http://download.cnet.com/WinRAR/3000-2250_4-10007677.html
Then carefully follow the instructions: RIGHT-CLICK ON PATCH -> CLICK 'EXTRACT FILES' -> UNDER EXTRACTION PATH, CHOOSE 'USERNAME-->>MY DOCUMENTS-->>SPORTS INTERACTIVE-->>FM2009-->>DB -> THEN OPEN THAT FOLDER AND PRESS 'OK' OR 'EXTRACT HERE'

Then just open up your game as usual, click 'New Game', and the name of the Patch/Database you have downloaded should be up there along with the default database.
