Uploading a tactic help

Sorry if this is in wrong section but i needed to ask so;
1) Should i make a thread in the tactics section aswell as the file in the download section?
2)How do i know if my tactic has been approved?

2)You will see it in recent downloads, or click on my files and it shows the status.
