Urgent help needed - re-installing fm10 on steam

Me and a mate are wanting to play a network game - I have 10.3 version and he prefers 10.2. So I need to reinstall fm10 on steam as I have no disc, but I've turned auto updates off but when i launch the game it still automatically updates.

How can I get version 10.2 installed, through steam.

steam wont allow me to change the update settings - it doesn't remember what I choose
