U's as in unknown!

Colchester United have today revealed unknown " manager " Aidan Hicks as the new man to take them forward. Ex-Boss Aidy Bothroyd was sacked after being drubbed by Hicks' favourite team Preston North End 7-0.

However, the U's fans are said to be pleased with the appointment, with only 99% of their fanbase opposing to the appointment of an unproven manager. Hicks has recently stated that he intends to reach the EPL before the year 3000, and bring some decent signings to the club.

Updates will be made after pre-season and then monthly throughout the season, including screenshots of my progress.

Summary : A very good pre-season in my opinion. Some very easy games and some tricky away ones, but winning them all greatly has given the team a positive morale and got them into the habit of winning. I think the Rubins capture was good for the club, as they are short of let footed wingers and this guy looks a promising player.

August update

Norwich 0-1 Colchester - Brilliant win. I would of been delighted to take a point before the game so to win was an amazing achievement.

QPR 3-2 Colchester - Proud of the players but disappointed for the fans. We led two times but two goals for QPR in the last 10 minutes put us out of the competition.

Colchester 0-1 Yeovil - Shocker, expected more after two good performances. The only decent thing that happened in this match was the drink of vimpto my mam brought me!

Colchester 4-2 Gillingham - Back to winning ways, completely dominated and they got two lucky chances and scored.

MK Dons 1-1 Colchester - Good point. Media said MK were favourites so I'm happy with a point and I didn't care if the scrooge like fans were disappointed as they are not real anyways.

Colchester 5-0 Leeds !!! Best win I've ever had since I started playing FM two seasons ago. Leeds are favourites to go up and we had 73% possession and 20+ shots. 5 goals and the miserable louts on the terraces finally popped a smile.

I will update September later on, going to scour international teams now for their free agents.
