I've only been England manager for 5 games so far, and most of them have been friendlies. But I've noticed I could use this to my advantage when it comes to my league title prospects. I've been dropping my players and picking players from teams that are also challenging for the league, in the hope that they get injured or warn out. It's also good to do this is your team is coming up against their team next.

Anyone else do this?

I have never done this nor will i ever do this as when i accepted the England managers job i did so in the hope of guiding them to winning things. I am also Liverpool challenging for the title year on year but i would never do this. I would want to win the league fair and square without 'sabotaging' my rivals.

Haven't done that, but I used to negotiate a clause for getting a few million quid after one international appearance when selling my English young players. Next game after their transfer, I played them (and did never again). Gave me lots of extra money.

Also good to use to give your own English players a run out if they are just squad players for you!

If I am managing an international team , all I do is give debuts to their best young players so they have me as a Favoured Personnel , this helps if I want to sign them with a club.

i bring up loads of youth players and as soon as you play you immediately show up on their fav ppl list.. makes them much easier to sign in the long run
