i've noticed that some backroom meetings give me "useless" advice like "we concede most of our goals on 60. to 75. minute" or "we have a tendency to become overawed by higher reputation teams".

what am i supposed to do with that kind of information. how to tell my players not to concede on 66th minute and how to tell them not to become overawed.

it seems like my backroom consists of captain obviouses.

What's useless about letting you know they get overawed? It's your responsibility as a manager to motivate your players, and what you're saying in games against the big teams sounds as though it isn't working.

I do agree some of the information they give you is useless, but the two examples they gave you are actually useful.

Just to back up what Lee said, if you are conceding goals at certain time then maybe change your mentality for that part of the game e.g. if you play with an attacking mentality then drop it down to control or standard or use the touchline shout "Take a Breather", both should help. Although some of the Backroom Advice is terrible

I like the idea of backroom advice, but sometimes they will say don't get rid of a player when he clearly isnt right for the tactics being used.

To prevent from conceding late in the game the backroom advisors often suggest making substitutions at that stage in the game as the team are getting tired. When players are getting overawed then you need to do something like changing your team talk for games against bigger teams.

what kind of team talk would you suggest against bigger teams?
i usually go for the fans or wish them luck.

I delete all the messages and move on , I've won countless trophy's on this game and never once used pre match advice , or back room advice , only thing I use for back room advice is the , training preferred moves but even this is terribly mixed up as You ask them not to play in the middle of the park when they are a centre mid , then when its done they usually ask You to ask again to unlearn the move which upsets the player waste of time in my opinion. If Si fix it maybe it can be useful .

give all of them the "you have faith", then at half time encourage (if losing or pleased if winning or drawing)

Wish Luck at the beginning and No Pressure at Half Time has done the trick for me (Thanks JP :P)

yaa...some advices are really terrible.

I wonder why they all suggest my defensive midfielder to try "getting forward whenever possible"...

Why at the beginning it give me advise about fitness, strength, speed etc. advantage or disadvantage which I used to very good effect by using touchline shouts. But now it tells me what how narrow I should play or something like that but when I do what they say I get beat:@. How can I make them say what they said before.

Sometimes tactics need some time to start producing good results. Still, you have to see how is your staff profile and check his "Tactical Knowledge" attribute. If it is low, it's normal that a tactic he recommends doesn't fit...
