I know this is against the spirit of the game and i personally am very much against it, however i was just wondering whether people have ever used a 'time machine' to replay big games that they've lost? By using a time machine i mean saving just before the game and then reloading if you lose, for matches such as cup finals and play offs?

i've done that a few times in the past, and i'm very ashamed :(

I did it before I started playing the game properly, like Football Manager 2007.. then I started playing properly.

I also used to steal other teams money in that version as well (6)

Now, I never do that!!

when i played the game like 6 years back I had a period in which I did this. Used some sort of FMRTE too but personally I think this ruins the game.

i only ever do it when i ragequit in the middle of a match and have to start it over or when i am doing a non-serious save that i want to see a random result on, like my Bosnia & Herzegovina save where i am still trying to get a win in the World Cup semi-final over Brazil.
20 reloads and counting! :$

I save my game before all of the big match but hardly ever 'time machine' only if its an embarrassing result.

I never could be arsed with taking the time to do it, so no I haven't

I did exactly the same as DMF in FM2007. Partly because I didn't have a clue about the game and couldn't find a way to win. It doesn't make you feel good winning that way, as you know that you've cheated in that save. But in the last 2 years I've done everything properly :)

I used to do that too, added new manager as Chelsea and bought some horrible under 18 player from my team lol now I think its totally cheating!

I did in the world cup quarter finals, I was Ireland against England and they beat me 3-2, I was real ****** off cause for 2 of there goals Rooney was a mile offside. I can accept when it might be marginally offside, but this was taking the ****. Replay 3-2 Ireland(6)

Nice honesty guys, i admit i used to do it, but then i decided it takes the fun out of the game, it may bring frustration, but at the end of the day all teams lose matches and real managers can't go back and replay the games, just sucks losing a play off final and having to do another season in a division!

Yeah, I used to do that and steal players, once I had 100m+ for Sunderland :P. Now though, I make sure I NEVER do it, even if I lose 3-0 or whatever.
